Fabric blinds are practical, durable and cost-effective. In modern homes fabric blinds can be every bit as eye-catching as curtains. There are number of fabric blinds styles to choose from:

Roller Fabric Blinds
Roller fabric blinds are made from fabric which has been specially treated or stiffened and are operated by a spring mechanism or beaded side controls. Roller type fabric blinds may have straight ends or other styles, both ready and custom made. Ready-made roller fabric blinds can be cut to size in width, and have beaded side controls. They come complete with screws and universal brackets for easy assembly.
Blackout Roller Fabric Blinds
Blackout roller fabric blinds are made from densely woven fabric. They will effectively minimise the light entering a room. Blackout roller fabric blinds can be used behind curtains. Blackout roller fabric blinds are especially useful in a number cases:
- for south facing bedrooms
- for light sleepers
- in the bedroom for shiftworkers who sleep during the day
Venetian Fabric Blinds
Venetian fabric blinds are made with horizontal slats which can be tilted, raised or lowered to let in as much or as little light as you require. The slats are available in a variety of materials and widths, ranging from 16mm to 50mm.
Roman Fabric Blinds
Roman fabric blinds form soft pleats when raised and hang flat when lowered. The pleats are kept in place by dowel rods or slats that are sewn into casings on the lining. A cording mechanism attached to the dowel rods or slats on the back of the roman fabric blind allows it to be raised and lowered.
Vertical Fabric Blinds
Vertical fabric blinds must be custom made to fit your window. Vertical fabric blinds consist of vertical strips(vanes) which can be tilted or drawn using a simple chain control unit. The vanes can be partially tilted to admit more or less light, or pulled back completely on one or both sides. Vertical fabric blinds vanes can be made in a wide selection of fabrics and widths.
Fabric Blinds Care
Fabric blinds are very easy to care:
- dust your fabric blinds with a synthetic or feather duster regularly, or
- vacuume your fabric blinds with the upholstery brush attachment.
